Our cuisine

At Begur Restaurant Fonda Caner, we have always tried to offer our clients a creative, flavoursome, natural cuisine, made with carefully selected local products as we learned from our mother, a cuisine now known as the zero-mile diet.

Our Tasting Menu is representative of traditional Empordà cuisine, combined with signature touches by Chef Narcís Caner, who contributes innovative concepts of preparation and cooking.

Fonda Caner restaurant uses local suppliers, committed to offering the best ingredients. We emphasise organic products, such as vegetables, flour, meat, wine, and so on.

 

Cuisine under Chef Narcís Caner
Narcís Caner first learned to cook in the family restaurant, helping his grandmother in the kitchen from the age of 10 years old. Later on, he attended Sant Narcís Catering School in Girona, where he qualified as a professional chef.
His collaborations with well-known chefs and his concern for culinary research and evolution led to the creation and commercialisation of the famous RONER slow-cooker, today an indispensable piece of equipment in most haute cuisine kitchens.

Today he combines his job as restaurant manager with teaching at Baix Empordà Catering School.
